MAC Address Lookup (OUI Vendor Finder)

How MAC Addresses Work

A MAC address is a unique identifier assigned to a network interface, like a Wi-Fi adapter or Ethernet card.

  • MAC addresses are 48-bit numbers written in hexadecimal
  • The first 24 bits (OUI – Organizationally Unique Identifier) represent the manufacturer
  • The remaining 24 bits are unique to the device

This tool uses public OUI databases to identify the manufacturer associated with a MAC address.

Limitations & Accuracy

  • Only identifies registered manufacturers (OUIs)
  • Cannot identify exact devices, users, or locations
